Mitra Ray, PhD, is a former research biochemist who earned her B.S. degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. and her PhD from Stanford University. Her work in degenerative diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer's disease was funded by the National Institutes of Health and published in professional journals like Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and the Journal of Cell Biology. She devotes herself to taking the knowledge about nutrition and disease that she gained as a researcher and sharing it with audiences around the world.
